Considered the "entrance" of Valle d'Itria, Castellana Grotte represents a crossroad of marvellous scenery which allows the travellers to immerge themeselves in all the colours and flavours of Puglia.

At only 15 Km from the house you find the town of Alberobello, famous for its "trulli", typical conical houses in limestone and Unesco World Heritage site.

A must-see closeby is the stunning location of Polignano a Mare, whose historical center rises on a rocky promontory with a sheer deep into the Adriatic.

Another seaside town not to be missed is Monopoli, a town founded on the sea from which it takes its bounty, but also characterized by its splendid countryside: beaches and crystalline water give way to medieval fortifications, churches and buildings from the Murcian era.

Also nearby you can visit the breathtaking villages of Conversano, Bari, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Grottaglie, Matera, Lecce e Ostuni (known as "the white city").
